Assembly House - The Nashville Home

Architectural Enviroments was selected from several firms across three states that were invited to be considered for this project. This project is located within the Monteagle Sunday School Assembly grounds and it also represents the largest commision within the Assembly. The Nashville Home is a gathering spot for the Assembly residents but its primary purpose is to serve as a dormitory for the summer couselors. One of the main design parameters established by the board and building committee was to have a building that would seemlessly fit in to the old world architecture of the vacation cottages located throughout the Assembly Grounds.

French Country in the heart of Nashville

The design challenge was to create a residence that would have the feel of country home on the inside but give a nod to French Country architecture on the outside. In addition to the main residence, there is also a “barn” to reflect the character of the house.
